Week 11: Raw Hot Dogs 13, Old Velvet 12 (OT)

Well we were short handed again with us missing an entire line this time around (3 peeps) and fell short in OT. The first period was a bit of feeling each other out with it closing out tied 3-3. A goal late in the 1st and 4 quick ones to start the 2nd and all off a sudden we were down 7-3, but we battled back to a 9-8 lead at the end of the 2nd. We came out strong in the 3rd to go up 12-10 but our legs were just not there and they climbed back to tie it and and then win it with 15 seconds left in OT due to Vance’s turnover . Still a great effort considering we only had 2 lines,and Mark took a shot in the cheek on his first shift and kept in there, GJ! All things considered it was pretty amazing we scored only 12 goals cause of all the diving, acrobatic saves their goalie made, He was by far the 1st star on the game IMO.

Next week we take on the Goombas at 1:30 in the Gardens… Full team?

Heres a post for you hungry guys! If your out this weekend and need a latenight after drinking snack and your heading towards the Traditional Tally Ho or Pita Pit. Try Stopping in at Jimmy Gringos Burrito Factory……Its down in Westdale in behind the Bean Bar. It’s quite a bit like your pita pit but intead its made like a burrito with beans and rice. I personally hold off on the beans. You got all your regular toppings like lettuce,tomato,cheese,peppers etc. plus your basic sauces like sour cream, buritto sauce, salsa, Hot Sauce (which is awesome). You get to also choose between Chicken, Steak, Pork, Shrimp, fish. Its pretty sweet! try it out for a change from the regular stops at Tally,Pita or HarvestB.

Reachforth Tournament!

Reachforth tournament is June 27 this spring! Same location, same time. It says 12 – 14 teams maximum accepted with a max of 12 players per team!

Nighthawks Reunion!

Okay guys, I have uploaded the old Nighthawks site for everyone to browse through for the hell of it. Check it out here! Oh, how we have changed… sort of.

We’ll get our weekly games happening again, start challenging other ball hockey teams and maybe try to score some ice time again as well.

I’ll e-mail as many people as I can from back in the day and you guys should do the same. Direct them to this post and let’s make this reunion happen!

First things first though, let’s get some more ideas in for a website address. Unfortunately, it will have to be anything other than a .ca address. So that means no Nighthawks.ca. I’m sure we can be creative.
