Rockband starts up the Rockband network!!!

heres what rockband is about to do…this could be huge! The Rock Band music catalog is about to get a lot bigger. We′re making a set of professional authoring tools available to bands, studios, and record labels everywhere in order to build a diverse and growing library of music that’s sure to satisfy the tastes of hardcore gamers and casual fans alike. Every day, new tracks will become available* from top indie artists, newcomers, classic acts, and upstarts from the far reaches of the rock universe.

How It Will Work

A community of bands, recording engineers, game developers, and record labels create, review, and publish songs using the same tools we use to create Rock Band game tracks.
Rock Band fans browse an ever-growing catalog of songs from every imaginable genre. Players can demo any song for free, and it′s easier than ever to find exactly what you want in the new store.

this is on top of the regular releases by harmonix….crazy man anyone can put their songs on rockband network for download.. i can’t wait for this to launch!!

HUGE CUSTODY BATTLE IN OAKVILLE.

TORONTO(AP) – A seven-year-old Oakville, Ontario boy was at the center of an Ontario courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Toronto Blue Jays, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

Help Bring AC/DC to Copps Coliseum

The people who run Copps Coliseum want your help in putting AC/DC on a Highway to Hamilton.

They’re asking local fans to sign an online petition to convince the Australian rockers to play Copps when they make a swing back through Canada in August.

“We had a date lined up for the summer, but the band got back to us and said ‘we’ve already played Toronto, why do we need Hamilton?’” said Duncan Gillespie, president and CEO of Hamilton Entertainment and Convention Facilities Inc. (HECFI), which operates Copps.

AC/DC, currently the top-grossing live act in the world, brought its Black Ice tour to Toronto last November for a sold-out show at the Rogers Centre.

Gillespie said the band’s management doesn’t seem to understand that Hamilton is a separate market from Toronto and would draw a different crowd than the Rogers Centre.

“We feel that there are plenty of AC/DC fans in Hamilton alone, without having to worry about filling Copps with fans from Toronto,” Gillespie said. “So we’re opening up a place on our website (hecfi.ca) where local fans can put their name to an online petition.”

HECFI successfully launched a similar online petition in late 2007 to convince Canadian pop-star Michael Buble to come to town. The petition paid off and Buble performed a sold-out concert at Copps in January, 2008.

AC/DC has yet to formally announce many of its North American summer tour dates, but rumours are circulating that the band will perform at least one show in Montreal.

Heres a post for you hungry guys! If your out this weekend and need a latenight after drinking snack and your heading towards the Traditional Tally Ho or Pita Pit. Try Stopping in at Jimmy Gringos Burrito Factory……Its down in Westdale in behind the Bean Bar. It’s quite a bit like your pita pit but intead its made like a burrito with beans and rice. I personally hold off on the beans. You got all your regular toppings like lettuce,tomato,cheese,peppers etc. plus your basic sauces like sour cream, buritto sauce, salsa, Hot Sauce (which is awesome). You get to also choose between Chicken, Steak, Pork, Shrimp, fish. Its pretty sweet! try it out for a change from the regular stops at Tally,Pita or HarvestB.

video from an escalator accident that recently happend in japan. i find it quite funny!! apparently the escalator was over loaded and instead of stop and locking in position it started going into reverse causing a mass pile up and the bottom!

Thats right folks Joss Whedons straight to the internet 42 minute musical supervillian comedy starring Neil Patrick Harris has now begun. Act 1 has been up for a few days but they were having problems with the site going down due to so much traffic! Lotta Whedon fans out there….i aint the only one! LOL. They seem to have things running smoothly now though so go check out act 1. Act 2 goes up on july 17 and act 3 the final act goes up on july 19.
