Behemoth

The Behemoth is the new roller coaster opening up next month at Canada’s Wonderland. It stretches 5,300 feet, with climbs of up to 230 feet while flying at speeds of 125 km/h. At a price tag of 26 million dollars, this will be Canada’s biggest, fastest and tallest roller coaster. Can’t wait to try it out!

Evil Dead the Musical

Well we got front row tickets to the Evil Dead Musical at the Diesal Playhouse in Toronto. We went in with clean white shirts and came out with them blood soaked. The show was absolutely hilarious and you dont have to be a fan of the Evil Dead trilogy to enjoy it either. It was a great show and it was a super fun time! i will post pics…unfortunately i wasn’t allowed to take video or photos during the show.

Bear Convicted of Theft

A Macedonian court has convicted a bear of theft and damage for stealing honey from a beekeeper.

The beekeeper says he tried to fight off the attacks with thumping “turbo-folk” music.

“I tried to distract the bear with lights and music because I heard bears are afraid of that,” Zoran Kiseloski told local paper ‘Dnevnik’ after the year-long case of the bear vs. the beekeeper ended in the beekeeper’s favour.

“So I bought a generator, lit up the area and put on songs of (Serbian ‘turbo-folk’ star) Ceca.”

The bear stayed away for a few weeks, but came back when the generator ran out of power and the music fell silent, and “attacked the beehives again.”

The court found the bear guilty, and since it had no owner and belonged to a protected species, the state was ordered to pay for the $3500 damage it caused to the hives.

There bear was not present in court for his defense.

Spice Up Your Life

8 months after they announced a reunion tour, the Spice Girls visited the Air Canada Centre in Toronto for the 3rd of 4 shows which also happens to be the second-to-last on the tour schedule. I had some decent floor seats which allowed me to grab a bunch of pictures and videos. Not the greatest, but they are what they are. I will try to post my pictures by tomorrow.

Well valentines day came and went. My Lovely wife and I went to dinner at The Russeau House then went to see the movie Definitely,Maybe starring Ryan Reynolds. Let me just say it wasn’t the run of the mill chick flick. Theres a who done it mystery mixed in which i think some fellas would enjoy. So get off your couch boys and take your significant others out to see this film this weekend!!

Before the movie i finally saw the real trailer for the new Indiana Jones movie. Looks like they purposely made it look like it was made in the 80′s. Nice and cheesy ……i wouldn’t want it any other way. It looks old school baby!! Heres the trailer

Edge 102 and The Kingdom

Some of you have already noticed, but if you haven’t, Edge 102 no longer broadcasts from The Kingdom on Friday nights. All good things must come to an end. Oh the good times we’ve had there.

Blame the Alcohol and Gaming Commission Of Ontario… It is illegal to have drunk people in a bar in Ontario. They found 10 alleged drunk patrons (red eyes, slurred speech) in a year of searching our bar almost every weekend. They have decided to suspend our liquor license for 45 days, starting mid Jan. And even if we could afford to weather the storm persay (at a cost of over $120,000 a month, with no revenue coming in) As soon as we open, the AGCO will be on our ass again.
