Dave and Blues trip to see Katie!!!

well Blue and i went downtown  to see Katie Rox former lead singer Jakalope on her Gentlemen Prefer Blondes tour. We get to the Casbah and try to enter the usual way into the bar and discover its closed yet an entrance a little further down is letting people in. As we enter a girl behind us shouts out are you sure you guys aren’t here for The Monster bop show cause it’s on Saturday!! Which causes Blue and i to immediately think ….hey maybe were out of place. So we enter the never before seen section of the casbah to discover a tiny little bar an stage with a bunch of prude and obnoxious people sitting along the side of the bar ( They must of been Mcmaster Students…no offense Mark… oh wait!……J/K). Anyway Blue and i then sit front row center and now look even more out of place cause remember were not suppose to be there till saturday for the monster bop show. LOL! First up is Robyn Dell’Unto on her acoustic guitar and she was quite good. Blue also recognizes her as the girl who thinks we are better suited for monster bop! Next up came Lesley Pike on her keyboard and she was also quite good. Then Katie closed the show on her acoustic ending with a cover of Ace of Bass’s i saw the sign while some idiot sang along at the back of the bar making Katie laugh. All this while Blue and i drank our 50′s and Coronas front row centre. It was at this time that we figured that Brian who was supposed to meet us there had stiffed us….so here ya go you bastard…heres a pic with me and Katie along with Blue, Robyn and Lesley….Eat your heart out Brian!
